What this website collects, why, and how to opt out.

The short version
This website uses three third-party services to understand how visitors find and use it. They set cookies and collect limited technical information. We do not sell personal information for money, and we do not run advertising on this site.
What this policy covers
This policy applies to information collected through this website and through emails, forms and call bookings connected to it. It does not apply to information we handle in the course of client work, which is governed by our agreements with those clients, or to anything collected offline.
This website is intended for business users aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we delete it.
What we collect
Information you give us. If you submit the contact form or book a call, we receive what you enter — name, company, email, phone, and whatever you tell us about your project. We use it to reply and to keep a record of the conversation. Nothing you send is shared outside our team.
Information collected automatically. Pages viewed, time on page, referring site, approximate location derived from IP address, browser and device type.
The services we use
- Google Analytics 4. Aggregate traffic measurement — which pages get read and where visitors come from. Google privacy policy.
- HubSpot. Our CRM. It records page visits and links them to a person once that person identifies themselves, by submitting a form or clicking a link in an email we sent. HubSpot also runs our website chat. Chat conversations are recorded and stored so we can reply and keep a history of the conversation. HubSpot privacy policy.
- Apollo. Matches visitor IP addresses to company records, so we can see which organizations are looking at the site. This identifies companies, not individuals. Apollo privacy policy.
Cookies these services set
| Cookie | Set by | What it does | Roughly how long |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics | Tells repeat visits apart from new ones | Up to 2 years |
| hubspotutk | HubSpot | Links a form submission to earlier visits | About 6 months |
| __hstc, __hssrc, __hssc | HubSpot | Records visit timing and referring source | Session to about 6 months |
| messagesUtk | HubSpot | Keeps your chat history if you use the website chat | About 6 months |
| Apollo tracking cookie | Apollo | Identifies the visiting organization | Set by Apollo |
| abc-cookie-note | This site | Remembers that you dismissed the cookie notice. Stored in your browser, never sent to us | Until you clear site data |
Durations are set by each provider and can change without notice to us.
Who we share it with
The three services above, as part of how they work. Our professional advisors where they need it to advise us. Anyone we are legally required to disclose to, such as in response to a court order or regulatory request. And a buyer or successor, if the business is ever sold or merged.
We do not sell personal information for money and we do not pass it to anyone for their own marketing. That said, under the privacy laws of some states, using third-party analytics and identification tools of this kind can count as a "sale," "sharing," or "targeted advertising." Blocking cookies from this site, as described below, stops it.
How to opt out
Your browser settings control cookies — most let you block or delete them per site. Blocking cookies from this site stops all three services from recording your visit. The site works normally either way.
Browser privacy extensions and ad blockers also block all three, as does the Global Privacy Control signal in browsers that send it.
Google offers a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics everywhere.
If we have emailed you, every message has an unsubscribe link.
How long we keep things
Analytics data is retained on the default schedule of each service. Contact form submissions and call bookings stay in our CRM as business records for as long as the relationship is active, and afterward only as long as we have a reason to keep them or the law requires it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy of it, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. Residents of California, and of other states with similar laws, have these rights under those laws. Visitors from the UK and EU have comparable rights.
Email us and we will handle it. We will not treat you differently for asking.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, but no website or transmission over the internet is completely secure. Please do not send confidential project material through the contact form — a call is better for that, and we will tell you where to send documents.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
