A Better Choice Consulting is a development and transaction risk firm supporting complex energy and infrastructure projects. We bring strategy and execution together around the issues that can affect project value, schedule, financing and transaction outcomes.

Closing & post-closing

Closing does not make unresolved issues disappear.

Outstanding title matters, recorded documents, easements, releases, curative items and other obligations may continue after a transaction closes. We help manage those items through completion so they do not become long-term project problems.

Post-closing work protects the value of what was just acquired. We help teams finish what the transaction did not.

Fifteen years in energy development, seven of them in renewables. All of it on the development side, not advising from outside it. When ABC tells you an issue will stall your project, that read comes from having had one stall his.

  • Greenfielded more than 2 GW of solar and storage land across U.S. markets as Director of Real Estate at BW Solar, building the land acquisition process and running a team of 15+ agents.
  • Developed more than 400 MW of solar across New York and New England, utility-scale and community, including a 106 MW community solar portfolio across 28 sites.
  • Supported the first solar project permitted under New York's Article 10 (Mohawk Solar).
  • Led land and title diligence and MIPA negotiation through two project sale processes.
  • Co-owner and President of Operations at Brown Resource Group, ABC's affiliated oil and gas firm, handling lease acquisition, mineral title and ROW across the Marcellus and Utica.

He founded ABC in 2009. He has sat across the table from landowners, developers, financiers, counsel and municipalities, which is usually what it takes to get an issue closed.
